A business proposal

Varshini's POV

The entire day was so tiring that both Rooh and Varshini were exhausted. After reaching home, Nalini hugged them both and gave them tea.

Varshini loved tea so much that she joked she'd live without water but not without tea. After freshening up, they came downstairs for dinner. After dinner, they went to their room, and Rooh was engrossed in checking emails.

She suddenly exclaimed, "Oh my god, the Rathore Group of Companies wants us to send flowers for their product launch event, which is going to be held next month!" with joy and surprise.

Varshini looked at the email in shock and said, "Why would they want to collaborate with us when there are so many other options?"

Rooh replied, "Don't think too much; you need to go there tomorrow to confirm the business proposal."

varshini's eyes widened in protest. "What? Me? No way. I'm not going alone."

Rooh's expression softened. "Please, V, you have to go there. I'll handle everything in the nursery." Varshini nodded half-heartedly.

Both of them lay on their bed, but sleep was nowhere to be found in varshini's eyes. Her mind was filled with the question of why he would want to choose them, and also with the thought of how they would handle this. But soon she drifted into sleep.

Karthik's POV

Karthik was looking at her picture and said, "Your black orbs are as dark as the night, yet that's where I find my light," while smiling.

Then, he became engrossed in his work, as he doesn't sleep often due to his insomnia. It was around 2 am when he closed his laptop and lay down to sleep. Looking at her picture once again, he said, "I'm waiting to hold you in my arms," and closed his eyes.

The morning sun rays fell on his face, disrupting his peaceful sleep. He woke up and went to the gym to work out. After an hour, he got all ready in his black Armani suit and headed to the office. After reaching his office, he started watching every single minute, impatiently waiting for her. Looking at him, Ajay was so surprised to see him like this - the man who waits for nothing and is always punctual was now waiting for a girl.

Soon, his PA entered and said, "Sir, Ms. Varshini Arora has come to meet you." He just nodded and told her to send Varshini in. After that, he looked at Ajay and said nonchalantly, "Get out of my cabin right now."

Ajay, in the mood to tease him, crossed his legs and said, "What if I say no?" Karthik gave him a dead glare, and Ajay smiled, "Oh man, you're so in love. Okay, I'm leaving. Maybe I should prepare your wedding invitation." And when he left, Varshini entered, wearing a blue kurti and looking divine.

Varshini's eyes met Karthik's, and she felt a flutter in her chest. "Good morning," she said, trying to sound calm. Karthik's gaze lingered on her before he replied, "Good morning, Varshini. Please, have a seat." He gestured to the chair in front of his desk, his eyes never leaving hers.

As Varshini sat down, she couldn't help but notice the way Karthik's suit fit him perfectly, accentuating his broad shoulders. She felt a blush rise to her cheeks, and she quickly looked away, trying to compose herself. But it was not unnoticed by him and he smirked at the thought she admired him.

Karthik, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease, his eyes fixed intently on her. "So, Varshini," he began, his voice low and smooth. "I've been thinking a lot about our proposal, and I'd like to discuss the details with you."

"Yes, of course, sir," Varshini replied, trying to focus on the proposal rather than Karthik's piercing gaze. "I've been going over the numbers, and I think we can make some adjustments to increase our profit margins."

Karthik nodded, his eyes lighting up with interest. "I've been thinking along the same lines," he said, leaning forward in his chair. "Let's discuss the specifics and see if we can come up with a plan that works for both of us."

"Sure, sir," Varshini said, "and what kind of flowers do you prefer?" She asked.

"You can call me Mr. Rathore not Sir ," he said, not wanting to treat her like just anyone else.

"Okay, Mr.Rathore," Varshini replied hesitantly.

"Maybe it would be great if I could see the flowers available in your nursery tomorrow; it'll be easy for me to choose one that interests me," Karthik said looking at her.

She said "Okay Mr. Rathore" and left. Karthik smiled as he watched her go.
